The lower floor of the house has ten foot ceilings, large re-claimed horizontal timbers and contains a second, large family/media room. This room will contain a huge soapstone stove. The rock is imported from Finland and built on site. These incredible, thermal rock stoves (now advanced with EPA certification) have been used for hundreds of years in Scandinavia to efficiently heat homes in arctic cold winters.
Rocky Mountain home of this quality would not be complete without a full array of the latest in home-technology. All spaces will be heated with high efficiency, radiant in-floor heating. This system also provides high capacity domestic hot water. All ceilings will be super insulated with closed-cell foam, green insulation. All rooms will be wired for Ethernet, satellite HDTV, security and a centralized telephone switch. All the main living areas are also wired for music, with audio-control keypads and a centralized music/telecommunications head-end room. Finally, two outside areas are wired and prepared for hot tubs, the perfect end to an active day.
